Anchor Texts

Here are the primary (“anchor”) texts presented at the beginning of each unit in our textbook. To practice (practice, practice) your new skills and knowledge and, thereby, deepen your learning, your team should consider selecting one or more texts related to the theme of your current unit’s anchor text that you want to read, highlight, annotate, and discuss. Ask Mr. Simone to create the text (e.g., in hard copy, in a Google Doc, in Perusall). You can also ask Mr. Simone to confer with team members about their reading—individually and/or as a group.
